I painted this back in 1990. I gifted it to my oldest brother and his wife for their 25th wedding anniversary. I remembered it but did not take a photo of it back then.. I saw a video of my brother's house a week ago and saw the painting. What a trip back into time that was. I asked my brother to take a photo and send it to me. I found this photo of the stairs in a New Mexico magazine to imitate. I then added a pot from the native American division done by potters. The one has the feather pattern on it. The other is a pottery piece that I had made for a college class. As an artist I have improved a lot in 32 years. I do still admire this though and appreciate my composition and use of color in the piece. When I say it was a lost piece it really should say it was just forgotten.
